214 Innovation and Development LLC operates Shepherd Works, a well-equipped prototyping, app development and maker facility designed to support physical innovation, applied engineering, and early-stage production. Most of the work is for existing 214ID clients or internal 214ID IP projects. We take on a few one-off build engagements when the project is interesting and the fit is right.

Since 2019, the 214ID Maker Space at Shepherd Works has periodically housed third-party startup companies operating within the technology sector. Residencies are offered very selectively and are aligned with 214ID’s focus on engineering-driven companies.
